Axel Brüggemann

Axel Brüggemann was born in 1971 in Bremen. He works as a journalist and author for such renowned papers as the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, the Rheinischen Merkur and the television broadcasting station ZDF. The CD series “Der kleine Hörsaal” (The Small Auditorium), which he developed and produced for German Grammophon, received the Echo Classic award. Brüggemann also wrote the political essay entitled “Wir holen uns die Politik zurück” (Restoring Politics), the music book “Wagners Welt, oder wie Deutschland zur Oper wurde” (Wagner’s World or How Germany Became an Opera) and the children’s book “Who was Mozart?” and “Charlotte”.
