Der Beitrag schlägt vor, alltägliche Kämpfe gegen soziale Ausschließung als situiertes Handeln mit einem erweiterten Begriff von (Reproduktions-)Arbeit und als Wohlfahrtsproduktion von unten verstehbar zu machen. Der durch Alltagsforschung geförderte Perspektivenwechsel kann (hoffentlich) das verdinglichende Vokabular von Devianz und Kriminalität überflüssig machen. Arbeit an Ausschließung wird nicht mehr als „Reaktion“ abgewertet, sondern als eigensinnige Arbeit an Partizipation verstehbar, die uns etwas über „stumme Kritik“ der Verhältnisse und „moralische Empörung“ im Alltag mitteilt. \nThe essay suggests an understanding of everyday struggles against social exclusion as situated action, as work on social and individual reproduction and as welfare policy from below. It is everyday struggles that counter different situations of exclusion, not state organized benefits; its people who are working on social selectivity of wage labour oriented social security measures. The concepts “work” and the perspective “welfare policy from below” make scientific reifications, especially the vocabulary of deviance and criminality, superfluous. An understanding of welfare policy from below as a form of silent critique and moral indignation become visible.
