Das "Modell der produktiven Realitätsverarbeitung" in der Sozialisationsforschung

Zusammenfassung

Vor genau dreißig Jahren erschien in dieser Zeitschrift der Aufsatz "Das Modell des produktiv realitätsverarbeitenden Subjekts in der Sozialisationsforschung". Der Aufsatz plädierte für eine konsequente interdisziplinäre Ausrichtung, die soziologische und psychologische Theorien gleichberechtigt unter dem Dach einer metatheoretischen Orientierung verknüpft. In diesem Beitrag wird die Entstehung des Modells der produktiven Realitätsverarbeitung (MpR) nachgezeichnet. Die in den letzten dreißig Jahren auf dem Modell aufbauenden theoretischen Ausarbeitungen werden zusammengefasst. Anschließend wird demonstriert, wie das Modell in Bereichen Kindheits-, Jugend-, Gesundheits-/Krankheits-, Familien- und Schulforschung theoretisch und empirisch umgesetzt worden ist. Zum Schluss wird die Rezeption des Modells in Theorie und Praxis erörtert und sein Verhältnis zu anderen Strömungen der Sozialisationsforschung erörtert.

Exactly thirty years ago the essay "The model of the productive processing of reality" appeared in this journal. This essay argued for a consequent combination of psychological and sociological theories under the umbrella of a meta-theoretic orientation. In the present paper, I will review this approach by retracting the development and architecture of the model and evaluating its importance from a present-day perspective. After that I will summarize my theoretical elaborations build on the model and present the current version of the model of productive processing of reality. In the third section, I demonstrate in which areas of research the model has been used empirically, focusing on studies in the area of childhood, youth, health / illness and family / school. In the last section, I will take stock of the reception of the model in theory and practice.
