A Repertoire of Dance and Movement Methods

Building blocks for theater education

• dance – movement – participation
• 96 colored text cards with booklet

Maike Plath’s established card concept introduces a methodical approach to theater education – in which the students themselves become directors. The communication of dance and movement elements stands at the heart of this “repertoire of methods”, developed together with choreographer Lior Shneior.
The set of cards builds on a proven card concept: The front side of the card makes reference to an aesthetic device – a movement or dance element. The back side contains the instructions for it. The large cards, when laid out around the room, enable a group of students to work independently – “directing” themselves, creating their own choreographies, and thus acting within the meaning of participatory dance and theater education.
