Martina Wildner’s novel »Königin des Sprungturms« (»Queen of the Diving Platform«) has received the German Youth Literature Prize (section children’s books). The prize, which is worth 10,000 EURO was handed over to the author during the Frankfurt Book Fair.

The novel is about a special friendship between two girls, Nadja and Karla. An unforgettable summer, during which Nadja not only discovers the mystery of why Karla is able to perform such exceptional dives, but in which she finds herself.

According to the jury it is a novel with a high potential of innovation - a novel between children’s and adolescence novel, designed in a virtuoso manner.
